Vision and posture
The link between vision and posture is being studied more and more. An uncorrected or poorly corrected vision problem can lead to incorrect postural habits, for example tilting the head to see better; likewise, an altered posture can affect visual comfort, coordination between the two eyes and focusing.
Complaints such as neck tension, recurring headaches and frequent tiredness may also have a vision problem among their causes. At Ottica Paoletti in Pieve di Soligo we assess this aspect to find the visual correction that suits you best.
Ottica Paoletti and postural vision
For years Ottica Paoletti in Pieve di Soligo has been studying the relationship between vision and posture, working with doctors, physiotherapists and osteopaths.
Luigi Paoletti and our team of optometrists have developed specific skills through years of experience and a long-standing collaboration with Dr Giuseppe Bortolin. Together with his son Marco, Luigi earned the first-level Master's degree in "Valutazione e Rieducazione delle Disfunzioni Visuo-Posturali" (Assessment and Rehabilitation of Visual-Postural Dysfunctions) at La Sapienza University of Rome.
An assessment that looks beyond visual acuity
Our postural optometric assessment also evaluates vision as a "sensor" of posture, that is, how visual information is received and processed. For us, reaching 20/20 is not the only goal: we look for the correction that offers the best visual comfort.
An accurate visual correction can also help maintain over time the benefits of treatment with doctors, physiotherapists or osteopaths. Our training is constantly evolving, partly thanks to our collaboration with the Eurogemmer Evolution association, of which Luigi Paoletti is a board member.
