Test 2 – Find out if you are short-sighted

Red-green test: letters on a red background and on a green background

How to do it

  1. Stand about 3 metres from the screen.
  2. Cover one eye and look at the letters with the other: do you see them better on the red or on the green?
  3. Repeat, covering the other eye.

The greater the distance, the more accurate the result.

How to read the result

  • People who are short-sighted tend to see the letters on red better.
  • People who are long-sighted tend to see the letters on green better.
