Nuance Audio – Hearing glasses

Nuance Audio glasses have a hearing system built into the frame. From the outside they look like an ordinary pair of glasses: the microphones and speakers are hidden in the front and the temples, and there is nothing to put inside the ear.

How they work

Nuance Audio glasses with speakers in the temples delivering sound close to the ears

  • Directional hearing: front mode favours sounds coming from in front of you, helping you focus on the conversation. A 360-degree mode is also available, to hear sounds from all directions.
  • Open ear: sound comes from small speakers near the ears, with nothing inside the ear canal.
  • Nuance Audio app: choose one of four listening programmes, adjust the volume and switch between front and 360-degree mode. The remote control is available as a separate accessory.
  • Battery: about 8 hours of use. They recharge on the included wireless base, with a USB-C cable. When you don't need hearing support, you can switch the system off with a button and use them as normal glasses.

Who they are for

Nuance Audio is a medical device designed for adults aged 18 and over with mild to moderate hearing loss: people who struggle to follow a conversation at a restaurant, with family or in a noisy environment.

For more significant hearing loss, or if you have doubts about your hearing, your doctor or hearing care professional remains the point of reference.

The lenses

Almost all models come with photochromic lenses as standard, which lighten indoors and darken in sunlight. If you already wear glasses, we can fit your prescription lenses: that way you get corrected vision and hearing in one pair of glasses.

The models

Nuance Audio comes in two shapes: Panthos, more rounded, and Square, more angular. Come and try them in our shop to choose the one that suits you best.
