Many people think that seeing well means being able to read the last line of the table in the visual examination. This is partly true, but it is only a small aspect of the entire visual process. Being able to read the last “line” is only one aspect of quantity and does not inform us of visual quality; that is, how one sees.
Our visual system does not always work optimally to see well. If it is under stress, the effort will be more than necessary. Around the 1930s, the way of interpreting refractive errors (myopia, hyperopia) and visual problems has changed profoundly. In addition to the visual quantity, the quality of the visual act is also considered, trying to understand its dynamics.
The basic exercises that we propose in this course are designed to expand and strengthen "visual abilities", which will benefit both eyeglass wearers and non-wearers. Specifically, they are aimed at all people who experience fatigue, soreness, blurring and visual discomfort during the day and in their work or study (asthenopia).
There are infinite procedures of visual education, from the most basic to the most complex. Our protocol is dictated by years of study and experience in the sector but certainly does not claim to be the only solution to the myriad of visual problems that everyone can, unfortunately, have.
Every person is different and for this reason the needs and timing may change or need to be re-established, during the journey we will take together. We will be at your side to clarify any doubts you may have.
However, we underline the scientific validity of the proposed exercises and encourage patience, availability, consistency and tenacity... the results will not be lacking!
So be brave and…good work!! ☺
